MUSIC
Rickie Arthur (23) is a Londoner by birth (Hackney) but for most of his life has lived in Newport, Wales, where he has built up a strong Welsh fan base. His often-commented good looks owe much to his mixed Welsh and Italian genes.
Rickie's began professionally performing in May 2010. In the following 18 months, he, his band and show have received rave reviews and a meteoric rise in popularity. Rickie is fast gaining recognition as a stunning all round performer and rising star in his own right. With a 52 date UK tour, numerous European appearances and plans for an American tour in the future, 2011/12 is set to be the busiest yet.
Background
Singing since he was 14, a seasoned professional since age 17 and having completed 2 years at Performing Arts, Rickie is a true performer with dancing and acting talents in his repertoire. His voice has been classically trained by late great Jon Styler and he has personally long admired Steve Balsamo, a hugely successful Welsh singer of international renown.
Rickie’s performances are full of easy banter, charm and flirting with the audience – something that is building him a worldwide fan base. His talents have also attracted the attention of agents from stage & music industries including Universal & Sony. Since appearing as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables in an award-winning theatre production, Rickie has been approached to audition for Thriller and Les Miserables in the West End but tour commitments mean that such opportunities can’t be fulfilled.
Currently Rickie’s ambitions are to begin to work with songwriters in the UK to produce his own original album, which will be pop-based infused with his love of soul and swing.
Management/promotion : Rickie’s father Lee has managed his career since he was 15 and all enquiries should be presented to Lee Arthur.
